Instructional Designers (IDs) and Instructional Technologists (ITs) partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)/faculty for student success by applying learning theory and best practices for course design and development. This includes the full development lifecycle from developing learning objectives to strategizing how best to evaluate student performance. ID&T collaborates with SMEs on course structure, flow, content, and brainstorms the use of strategies to increase student engagement by developing multimedia and interactive learning experiences.
