A Professional Growth Opportunity Created for Regis by Regis
Manifest U is a program that aspires to unite the Regis
community to provide professional development in social justice
and inclusive excellence. The goal of this program is for our
community with action-oriented experiences to foster a welcoming
and inclusive climate for everyone.
Delivered through an Integrated (Holistic) Perspective [3], a
social justice framework [1], and the guidance and experiences
of our community participants, participants are asked to engage
in self-reflection, dialogue, workshops, mentoring,
experience-based opportunities, etc., to increase their
confidence in enacting a wide variety of behaviors relate to
diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging. As participants
become critically conscious of what contributes to inequitable
climates, they will be encouraged to develop their commitments
to anti-discriminatory practices and culture.
There is the option for faculty and staff to earn badging and
micro-credentials to evidence their development.
Digital badges are an online validation of an individual’s
achievement and competency.
They are generally used to illustrate completion of a noncredit
offering [2]. Badges have two key characteristics [2] that make
them different from alternative credentials:
✔ They focus on singular skills and competencies, such as
communication and writing.
✔ They primarily exist in a digital format. Badges are meant to
be easily shared on digital platforms to display and endorse a
person's abilities.
A STACKABLE CREDENTIAL PATHWAY
This competency-based structure offers stackable badges that
can
be combined to earn a microcredential. Each participant is given
agency to choose their journey.
